THE COMPANY
Founded in 1865 in Naples, Tramontano embodies the art of Italian leather goods. We combine traditional craftsmanship with innovation to create unique bags and accessories, where every detail tells a story of passion and craftsmanship.

THE ART OF MAKING EXCELLENCE
Over the years, Tramontano has consolidated the historic Italian tradition of artisanal leather goods by creating an archive of over 600 models that still represent the soul and inspiration of its collections today.

DESIGN AND PLANNING
The collections are born within the company, in a perfect mix between the latest fashion trends and the history of Tramontano style. A contemporary mood that never forgets to be “made in Naples”.

RESEARCH AND SELECTION OF MATERIALS
The leathers and fabrics used in Tramontano productions are carefully selected and purchased in Italy, to always guarantee the highest quality of the products.

ARTISAN WORKMANSHIP
Hand-made stitching, leather weaves, brass closures and details, stone applications, horn and bamboo accessories are the distinctive features of Tramontano creations made within the company by skilled artisan hands.
THE STORY
From the beating heart of Naples, Tramontano was born in 1865, when a small fabric and trimmings shop transformed into an art laboratory thanks to the vision and creativity of generations of artisans. Today, our brand is synonymous with timeless elegance and discreet luxury, the result of a perfect combination of ancient techniques and modern innovations.
Each creation is the result of meticulous research into materials and obsessive attention to detail, elements that give each piece an unmistakable personality. Our mission is to offer accessories that not only enhance style, but become true life companions, capable of telling their own story through tradition and innovation.

FOUNDATION IN NAPLES
1865
The Tramontano story begins in Naples. Francesco Tramontano opens a fabric and trimmings shop in the historic center of the city, thus establishing its historical roots in the Neapolitan manufacturing history, known for its craftsmanship and the quality of its products.

EVOLUTION OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
1950
With the entry into the workshop of Aldo Tramontano, son of Francesco, the activities related to leather processing for exclusive production of objects and leather goods developed. In this period some of the models that would later become “icons” for the brand were born, enclosed in the historical archive and which are still offered in the collection and appreciated by customers, such as the “Arrotolata” bag in canvas, the Nisida clutch with the precious jewel handle and the “Dalla” professional bag.

CELEBRITIES
1990-2000
A long list of international artists and celebrities, visiting Naples, discover the high-quality artisan leather goods and the exclusive style of Tramontano products, often requested in customized versions. Among the many, Woody Allen, visiting the Tramontano store in Palazzo Cellammare, orders a personalized leather case for his clarinet.

International excellence
Today
In 2017, the brand was acquired by the Adler Group, a company controlled by the Scudieri family, which has always maintained its commitment to the quality and authenticity of Tramontano products. Today, the creative and organizational direction is entrusted to Milena Scudieri, intent on re-evaluating, in a modern key, the heritage and values that have always characterized the brand. The Maison's creations are present in the largest cities in the world in selected boutiques and luxury department stores. In Italy, the Tramontano collections are present in Rinascente Rome and Milan.

The new logo
The graphic trait of the Tramontano logo is once again a symbol of art, creativity and tradition. It is the representation of two marine animals, dugongs, large, mysterious and rare mammals, always linked to the historical myth of sirens as symbols of enchantment, history and charm.
The logo today is revisited in a modern key so as to reflect the new values of the brand while keeping an eye on the origins, and is represented with softer and more defined lines, making it more versatile, recognizable and with a more contemporary look to evoke vitality, lightness and elegance.
